WEIGHBRIDGE DESIGN

AirWeigh’s weighbridge design is the lowest profile, 100-ton capacity, NTEP-certified weighing device on the market. AirWeigh’s RS Series Small Rail Truck Scales were specifically designed with a fully portable steel foundation kit and optional steel ramp kit, allowing the customer to relocate the scale without requiring an expensive permitted concrete foundation.

All modules are of an integral wide-flange I-beam design with no channel incorporated, which gives the most structural support. The I-beams are distributed across the width of the platform and oriented longitudinally to the wheel travel of heavy vehicles, and they include a thick 3/8" diamond plate decking. At a 100-ton overall capacity and a 35-ton concentrated load rating, the RS Series Small Rail Truck Scale is the best in its class. 

AirWeigh’s fully portable steel foundation kit ships already assembled and guarantees the installation time as less than two hours. The approach and exit steel bulkheads have two options available: to pack material to form your own ramps, or our optional steel ramp kit that is set in place directly to the bulkheads. All load cells and mounts are preassembled and installed within the weighbridge, ready to set from offload. All load cell cabling are fully protected in galvanized conduit with summing networks in NEMA 12 watertight enclosures that are easily accessible for maintenance.

AirWeigh’s RS Series Small Rail Truck Scale consists of three heavy-duty steel platforms, two steel bulkheads, and optional steel ramp kit freighted from the factory on a single flatbed. This automatically saves on freight costs as the standard scale arrives ready for offloading and immediate installation, eliminating multiple picks of the weighbridges.

We offer competitive freight rates and will assist in shipping nationally by third-party vendors. AirWeigh will have taken every precaution to ensure your new AirWeigh truck scale arrives safely and ready to for immediate installment. 

INSTALLATION

AirWeigh’s RS Series Small Rail is the only motor truck scale of its kind available, offering the lowest profile in the industry at 8 ½" height. It is designed, fabricated, and manufactured in the USA by AirWeigh, proudly the last truck scale manufacturer left in California.

The standard AirWeigh RS Small Rail truck scale modules are shipped pre-assembled and ready to be placed into position on any solid, compact surface. There are three sections of the truck scale that are set and bolted together, then leveled out on their own steel foundation, requiring minimal installation time. The approach and end bulkheads can be built by the customer from shipped packing material, or an optional steel ramp kit is available upon request. Interface the truck scale to an instrument, then calibrate/adjust the system.

The small rail is the most versatile, commercial weighing device that offers many cost-saving advantages and return on investment. The latest DIY installation video manual available is provided to all end users who purchase AirWeigh.

AirWeigh RS Series Small Rail truck scales are NTEP-Approved, commercial weighing devices used in industrial and public use applications. Our scales require no foundation work (fully portable), built American-made, and features the lowest profile in the weighing industry at 8 1/2” height. RS Series Small Rail scales are engineered and designed with “public intent”-- no high sides or prefabricated rub rails to interfere with high vehicle frequency with open clearances.

UNATTENDED VEHICLE SYSTEM

AirWeigh’s Automated Kiosk System features contactless operations, boosts efficiency, and optimizes the flow of traffic in and out of your facility with fully automated or semi-unattended ticketing. 

With ticketing kiosks, drivers can check-in, weigh-in and -out, and print tickets without exiting the truck. These kiosks can integrate with the central office and accounting systems. The user-friendly interface is housed in a rugged stainless steel enclosure for durability. 

Automated kiosks are ideal for a variety of applications, including ports, transfer stations, landfills, warehouses, feed mills, grain terminals, chemical plants, construction sites and more.

SCOREBOARD OPTIONS

AirWeigh’s Aurora 45SL Scoreboard features a built-in red/green traffic light, which is controlled either with a manual switch or through the scale indicator; improving operations on the scale. Large, bright LED display quickly and accurately communicates scale weight information.

The Aurora 45SL has many communication and diagnostic features, including auto-learn technology, and multiple pre-installed utility programs. Aurora 45SL Scoreboards are extremely flexible for use in any industrial environment.
